The Grand County High School boys golf team and girls volleyball team each had strong weeks, as the Red Devils won the Region 12 golf tourney at The Hideout in Monticello on Wednesday, Sept. 4, and the volleyball team defeated Emery 3-1 before going 2-1 at a tournament at Wayne High School.

Anna Sprout said she looked for organized group mountain bike rides when she moved to Moab three years ago. She couldn’t find any, so she began hosting group rides on her own. 

The Grand County High School (GCHS) football team found its offensive execution on Friday night, Aug. 23 in Moab, rebounding from a 51-0 loss to Morgan in its season opener by exploding past the Providence Hall Patriots, 42-6.

Moab’s Red Devil Mountain Biking is a small team of 33 riders, but it’s gaining new members from the city’s middle and high schools. At the first race of the season on Aug. 24, the team emerged at number 1 on points in Division Three.
